FAQs

Can you handle multi-media accounts?

Yes. DLKW is a full service agency, specializing in advertising, digital, direct, promotional and in-store disciplines – all united through a central planning department. What this means is that we can deliver ONE communication strategy, ONE creative standard and ONE business relationship to our clients (but specialists in multiple craft centres).

Do you work on single discipline accounts?

Yes. We build teams for our clients based on their brand requirements. If it’s a fully integrated account, they get a fully integrated team. If it’s a digital project, they get digital specialists etc. And if it’s undefined, our media neutral planning department can help to unlock which channels are likely to be most effective in communicating to the target audience.

Can you handle multi-market accounts?

Yes. We work with a number of international clients, such as SCA, General Motors, Esso and Sony on both a global and pan-European basis. Our success in running international work is based on our ability to identify a unifying truth for a brand across all markets but which is creatively flexible enough to incorporate local nuances. Our work for SCA, for example, runs across over 50 countries with local input from individual markets and, in our view: 1) allows for better co-ordination 2) avoids unnecessary duplication of costs and 3) promotes faster turnaround on work than the traditional network model.

Do you have retail experience?

Yes. We have extensive experience, with current clients including: • WHSmith - where we have created a highly motivating campaign which provides the right balance between the brand objectives of WHSmith and the goals of the suppliers who also fund the advertising. • Vauxhall Retail – where we have created a best-in-class on-line automated press and print artwork creation and delivery system which is available to 480 Vauxhall retailers nationwide. Approx. 20,000 press ads, 3 million mailers and 500 radio ads are produced each year. • Halifax – where our campaign has been based on Halifax’s view of themselves as a retailer as much as bank. They have put value at the heart of their communications and we have developed a campaign across all media, which has both significantly increased their market share in all sectors and galvanized their 35,000 strong workforce.

Do you have B2B experience?

Yes. Most of our clients have some B2B element, but our specific B2B clients include: Esso, Sony, TENA, Birmingham Midshires and the Bank of Scotland.
Our B2B communications are based on similar disciplines as B2C but stem from a thorough understanding of the B2B audience and an understanding that they in turn often need to think of the sensitivities of 3rd parties.

Do you have experience of targeting a youth audience?

Yes. We have a thorough understanding of the youth market as demonstrated by our campaigns for Vauxhall Corsa, Capital FM and the COI (Teenage Pregnancy, Sexual Health, RAF and Higher Education). Please see the work section for more details.

What size of client do you work with?

We work with clients with a range of media spends, from one million to hundreds of millions on both a project and retained basis. It is not the size of a client that is important but our ability to form a team with them so that we can produce communications that really help to transform their business (and consequently help us to grow ours).

Do you work with other agencies?

While we are a full service agency, we also appreciate that clients might already have in place agencies which cover some aspect of these disciplines and we have proven success in forming strong relationships with partner agencies. Our commitment to the establishment and running of truly collaborative relationships (see Shared Agenda) is a process we initiate not only with our clients but also with any partner agencies to ensure we are all collaboratively working towards common goals.
