What is 'Shared Agenda'?
DLKW's 'Shared Agenda' is a process designed to create outstanding relationships between DLKW and our clients: relationships based on trust, honesty and a 'shared agenda'.
Historically, agencies and clients have had separate agendas that they barter to make progress. Both client and agency waste a lot of time and energy trying to anticipate the others' agenda-language such as "how can we get this through the client", "how can we get the agency to do this" being commonplace.
We believe that if time is spent at the start of a relationship anticipating these issues, discussing working processes, explaining agendas, it's possible to align both agency and client together as one team behind a single set of objectives, values and working processes. We call this a 'shared agenda'.
Examples of issues that have been successfully addressed within 'shared agendas' are: the desire to deal directly with creatives; agency cost structures; the importance of internal brief sign-off processes; roles and responsibilities; each others' business plans; the impact of a client's culture on standardised agency processes; the importance of an agency growing its business with the client.
